Hotel de Londres

Have you ever heard of the beautiful entrance hall of the "Hotel de Londres" in Tbilisi?

At the Vorontsoff bridge's head stands the "Hotel De Londres" - the first and the best hotel in the caucasus.
A large square public garden descends the slope down to the river just opposite the Vorontzoff bridge (dry bridge). At the bridge's head stands the Hôtel de Londres, not only the first hotel in the Caucasus but one of the best in Russia.

Apart from its other advantages its situation near the bridge is an exceptionally good one, The Vorontzoff bridge is the most important of the three which cross the Kura. It first spans a narrow, muddy branch of the river to an island occupied by a number of small shops, and then crosses the main current to the small Vorontzoff square.

You can at the same time, explore the flea market on the Dry Bridge, which is like a museum of Soviet Era of Georgia. Here you can find antique jewelry, paintings, old musical instruments and records, medals from World War II, bags, old film cameras and many other.

Tbilisi Entrance Halls

Sometimes holidays are worth for developing great ideas!

Some days later, I got to know that there are so much not so popular and beautiful places in Tbilisi, that everybody should get to know!

So here I am, one of the enthusiasts who wants you to get more information about the historical sights in Tbilisi.
As you already know, Georgia and Tbilisi is located between Asia and Europe. Both cultures were identified in every monument, especially on architecture of buildings.

Today I want to tell you about the entrance halls in Tbilisi.

First Georgian entrance halls were identified in 1850-60 years. Before that people in Tbilisi used the balcony in order to enter the house.
The entrance halls year by year were developing like the initial face of the family, living in the house. So Georgians tried to make them as beautiful, as possible. They used mosaics, drawings, different writings on the floor, like - SALVE (to greet, to salute).
People used one entrance hall for the different flats, but usually, there were one or more entrance halls in a house.

Old and handsome Mtskheta

Old and handsome Mtskheta

Another beautiful destination in Georgia is a little and one of the oldest towns - Mtskheta.

If you ever visit Georgia you should see how beautiful Mtskheta is. It's near Tbilisi and you can get in there in some minutes. It is located approximately 20 kilometers north of Tbilisi at the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers.

The rare blend of cultural values had ruled in this part of the world since the Bronze Age until prosperous Christian era over the unique eclectic lifestyle creating the mood of the town which is as old as the history of Georgia. Mtskheta is the most religious city of Georgia and it is where Christianity in Georgia takes its origin.
To tell the truth, my parents christened me right between Kura and Aragvi river mouths, the place is quite beautiful with beautiful views.

Lagodekhi Nature Reserve

Lagodekhi Nature Reserve

Lagodekhi is a small town and district in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. There is a border crossing there leading to Azerbaijan's Balakan Province.

I have recently visited the Nature Reserve and to tell the truth the nature was astonishingly beautiful!

The significant fact in creating the Nature Reserve in Kakheti is that initiator of creating the nature reserve was Russian - Loudvig Mlokosevich, he was the first who got to know that the diverse nature of Lagodekhi deserved to be Nature Reserve.

Georgia and Wild Nature

Somewhere in the east of Europe, in front of the Black Sea. The place is quite beautiful, the temperature is normal, winter is cold and snowy, summer is hot and sunny. Here one can at the same time see the snow and the sunny beach.
